Halloween Picture Frame

During the summer I started being a total hoarder (kind of like that TLC show... jk) with picture frames. There are so many fantastic things you can do with frames!! L0ve them!

I found this old 70's frame at a garage sale for pennies. I ((as always)) busted out my black spray paint and went to town on this beauty.  And "easy like Sunday morning" plopped this cute little FREE.. yes.. FREE printable from a friends blog... Eighteen25 blog. (So.. so.. CUTE!)

Halloween Jars

It’s almost here… HALLOWEEN!!!! I love this Holiday! There are so many fun decorations that you can add to your holiday décor!  This last weekend my dear friend and I got all crafty on some Caning/Storage Jars. These are super simple, cheap and perfect for Halloween night or your fabulous PARTA!! I used standard medium size and small size Mason Canning Jars that I had on hand. But you get a little more funky by buying various shapes jars to jazz these babies up. Supplies: ·      Variety Tissues Paper ·      Scissors ·      Modge Podge and Sponge paint brush ·      Black construction paper: And begin… First … Cut your strips of each issues paper. The pumpkin will have thinner strips, the mummy will have a variety of skinny and wide strips. *With the mummy strips use a stamp pad to “dirty it up” to give it that mummy look. Secondly… With each Jar you’ll slap down some good ol’ Modge Podge on each jar, lay down your tissue paper and then repeat again with the Modge Podge on top of the issue.  After you’ve had a Modge Podge party with your Jars let them COMPELTELY dry!  Thirdly…. It’s time to get creative….  Cut out the faces  (yummy, pumpkin, ghost, mummy and Dracula.) with using your black construction paper.  I’ll be honest I’m pretty much awesome (sarcasm) at everything but this wasn’t my cup of hot coco. But in the end it didn’t matter. They still turned out adorable! Plop some, Ikea cheap-o-candles into those spooky thangs and look what you’ve made….. Enjoy! xoxo Samantha

No-Sew-Scarf

I love scarfs! I love how they are bulky and free flowing and always add that PizaZZ you need in an outfit! For this project…I wanted to make something that was quick and cute.. I HAVE a ton of cotton/jersey from my now favorite store *Sas Fabrics*... I was able to go while visiting my best friend in AZ and I'm hooked! 

For this fabulous ((NO SEW)) project all you need is cotton/jersey fabric or you could use some old t-shirts and a pair of scissors. 

"Step-by-Step- Day-by-Day" 

1) Takes your desired fabric and grab a pair of fabric scissors if you have them, otherwise any scissors will do.

2) Take the fabric and cut it into 1-1 1/2” horizontal strips. (Don’t be a perfectionist with the strips it gives the scarf some edge if things aren’t even.)
3) Then take 3-4 shirt strips in both hands, and gently stretch them out. (The strips will naturally curl into themselves.)
4) Once you've done this with several of the strips (I used about 9 strips), it is time to get creative! Start draping them, wrapping one end with excess fabric, combining colors, braiding them, attaching beads, pins, old jewelry!

Get Crazy/Crafty/Creative. 

Its cute by it's self or with a little added broach/pin.

Scrabbleilzed-Picture Frames!

Our bedroom dresser usually has a beautiful display of crap. I thought that it might be a nice idea to have something cute to look at when we get ready (and gives me a reason to remove/clean up all the crap). 

I found some fun 1.00 frames at Goodwill.. 

I busted out some white spray paint and sprayed the crap out of these suckers!

I have an obsession with fun fabrics. I love finding fun funky prints and hoarding them till I find something to do with them... I could totally be on that show--Hoarders--

I can see it now.. " Episode 1: The Fabric Hoarding Lady"... Just kidding... 

After the frames dry-- hot glue some of that sweet fabric into the inside of the frames and it will give it some spunk. 

A co-worker and I took a lunch over to these really fun vintage/rummage shops in Spokane. They had TONS of cheap scrabble pieces! 

So I stocked up... remember I am a full-blown Crafting Hoarder...

 There has to be people who understand!? When you find something at a thief store and you think of all the awesome things you could do with it but for the first year it chills out in your garage. (My husband’s favorite

Simple, sweet and easy peasy to make. I also refinished an old jewelry box a friend of my mine didn't want and relined the inside with coordinating fabrics from the frames some rosettes to perfectly match my new decor.
