Christmas Advent

Since my baby is getting bigger I thought it would be fun to have a Christmas advent calendar. Well I decided that I wanted to do this on November 30th at 10 p.m. :) To answer your questions.. YES.. I'm completely crazy/narcotic/hyper/.... did I say crazy?

I had a some leftover christmas fabric from last year, a bunch of envelopes, a printer, clothes pins and leftover scrapbook paper.

I measured the length of my mantal. I cut three long pieces of my fab fabric. And then I braided them together. I had some left over green/red ribbon that I just added into the braided.

After that I printed off TWO sheets of this cute number printable

After that I took sparkly green scrapbook paper and cut out squares and hot glued the numbers on to each of the squares. I then hot glued them onto the end of the clothes pin.

I cut out the second sheet of numbers and hot glued each onto the lower right hand corner of the envelope.

...I then print off some fun things to do each night as a family and placed one in each envelope with some yummy candy....

Here is our list:

-Make hot chocolate + read your favorite Christmas book
-Go visit the reindeer while they're in town
-Make a gingerbread house
-Watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional

-Color a Christmas Picture and hang it in the window.
-Wrap the gifts for someone special
-Salvation Army food box
-Write someone a letter telling them how special they are to you
-Make a popcorn garland
-Ward Christmas Party
-Call great grandma
-Bake cookies + deliver them to friends
-Sing Christmas songs
-Drink spiced cider

-Watch a Christmas movie.
-Hang mistletoe
-Make a Christmas Dinner
-Take a drive to see some Christmas lights
-Annual Family Christmas dinner
-Family testimony meeting by the fire
-Read the Christmas story from The Bible + The Book of Mormon

It turned out super cute. Our daughter LOVE's it ...(more so the candy)... We are excited to start new traditions as our little family grows.

 Happy December!

Elmo Party

Well I've been slacking about blogging all my recent crafts... So to start... I thought I'd blog about my sweet little two year old's Elmo Birthday Party!

We dressed our Birthday Lady in a Elmo Costume that I got on sell for .63 cents after Halloween!

Favors: Crayons and Elmo Coloring Book!

The Food TABLE!

The chocolate Oreo were a BIG HIT! The Kids LOVED them!

Here were a few more Party decorations.....

I had three party stations... Elmo's Color Station...

Elmo's Tattoo Parlor

And a Cookie Monster Toss

I had lots of fun foods.....

and we had fruit kebobs. We had Big Kid Pizza for the adults.

It was a super fun party to plan! I very resourceful and needed to keep costs low. I used the Dollar Store, Walmart and Goodwill. I got the food at Costco.

For food for 30+ people/favors/games/decor we spend just over $100.00.

Happy Birthday Sweet Thing!
